The Portugal Job seeker visa permit allows foreign residents to enter and stay in Portugal for up to 120 days (4 months):
  • To look for work, authorizing them to engage in dependent employment, until the visa expires, or the residence permit is granted.
  • It can be extended for a further 60 days and allows only one entry into Portugal.
  • If you manage to find work during this period, you have the right to apply for a residence permit (under the terms of Article 77).
  • Once the work visa has expired without an official employment relationship having been established, the visa holder must leave the country.
  • In these situations, you can only reapply for a new visa for this purpose one year after the expiry of the previous visa.
